With the increased use of Android Phones, Tablets, and other mobile devices, our society becomes increasingly dependent on these forms of technology to get through their daily lives. Many of the software programs and applications offered through these devices to allow an increased ease of connectivity, personal management, and living. You can manage your finances, invest in your stock portfolio, all while keeping in touch with our job or children. The benefits of these mobile devices are myriad but in recent years there’s been a lot of talk about the privacy issues concerning many of the forms of technology that we currently use.

Even though our relationship with technology is becoming more personal and idyllic for larger portions of society, there are still some very real concerns over privacy and data theft/hacking that’s gotten a lot of attention in the press lately. It’s likely that the only reason why hackers and malware is so prevalent is because is simply because so many people are now using these forms of technology.

In fact, Google recently announced that “more than 90 percent of Android users are running older versions of the mobile operating system that contain serious kernel vulnerabilities. That gives attackers an easy way to bypass Android’s security sandbox, which is supposed to limit the data and resources each app is allowed to access.”

Cell phone providers don’t want customers to freak out or quit using these forms of technology. It’s not that difficult to protect yourself against various forms of malware and hackers that are trying to gain access your your personal and sensitive data. It’s important for mobile users to update their software regularly and resist downloading suspicious or unsupported apps and software.

Norton, the mobile and computer software company, recently issued a statement to all mobile users that it’s not that hard to keep your information safe. It should be the practice of every Android and mobile users to read the list of permissions that an Android app requests before you do any installation. For example, if you’re installing a game, it doesn’t need to have access to your email or contact list. This is a big red flag. Users simply need to get smarter with what and who they give permission to and the apps that they download.

Sequential Vs. Random Access Drives

Sequential Vs. Random Access Drives

Data storage proves itself time and time again to be a primary security concern for many businesses. When investing in quality storage solutions for your company, there are many details to understand about this complicated facet of information technology. One confusing issue is the difference between sequential and random access drives.

The easiest way to understand this is that a sequential drive stores files and data in a specific order, whilst a random access drive puts them all over the place. The old fashioned tape drive is a sequential drive. Although tape drives are no longer used in modern PCs, some companies still use them to create durable backup archives. Meanwhile, a modern disk drive can be programmed to store data either sequentially or through random access. CDs and DVDs can also use both methods. A music CD, for example, is sequential, but one with a database on it might use random access in order to fit more data onto the disk.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each approach. Although tape drives are now inappropriate for frequent use scenarios due to their slow access speed, they are just as efficient when moving large chunks of data. It is faster to access a specific file if it is all together, rather than spread out over several sectors of the disk. This advantage, however, disappears when the data needs to be accessed in a large number of small pieces. Large databases are more quickly accessed when structured randomly, as sequential architecture forces the computer to load the entire database to obtain one record. Also, as random access methods put data wherever there is space, they work better in situations where data is rapidly modified.

Products like Dell data storage use smart algorithms to decide the most efficient way to store data. For most modern purposes, this will be random access, although for backup archives that are rarely needed, tape drives might be optimal. It’s possible to use software to optimize data recall speeds according to which method is being used and understanding whether your applications are storing their data sequentially or by random access is useful.

Below I will show you the steps to transfer music or video from your iPod, iPhone or iPad to computer with the help of cucusoft:

One of the toughest things to do on an iPod, iPhone or any Apple device is to transfer media files from one device to another or to a desktop/laptop computer. The process is so complex that even the so called “tech gurus” find it hard to transfer their media files such as songs and videos from an ipod/iPhone to their computer. Actually, you can easily synchronize music and video using iTunes but it’s only one way transfer (i.e from computer to iPod). If you want the other way around (i.e from iPod to your PC) then iTunes does not allow you to do this.

One of the important reasons for users not being able to transfer songs from ipod/iPhone to the computer directly is related to the software with which the Apple devices are run and also has to do with some copyright issues. As we said, itunes can sync your Apple devices which act like a middle man between the device and the user helping them to edit, update and reset the apple device. However, this software from apple has its own disadvantages as its lacks some of the basic functions that an average user likes to have.

Cucusoft technologies, a well renowned manufacturer of video tools for youtube and and developer of several enhancement tools for Apple devices (such as video converters, DVD rippers, iPhone-iPod transfer software etc) has now come up with a great and effective tool called Cucusoft iPad/iPhone/iPod to Computer Transfer software.
