If you have one Internet connection and lots of computers, Mobiles, PDA, Ipods etc. in your home, how are you going to share Internet access between all of them simultaneously?

How to do this?

Router – It is the instant way to setup easily a Home Wireless Network. All you have to do is to connect the router to the ISP Modem and use Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to the router if they are within its signal range.

A wired or wireless Router is actually a Layer 3 Gateway, if you know about the OSI Layered Model. Home networks use the Internet Protocol (IP) for either a wired or for a wireless router connection. TCP/IP is the defacto network communication protocol (it is the OSI network and transport layer). TCP/IP Routers like DSL or Cable Modem Routers connect a Local Area Network (LAN-Home Network) to the Wide Area Network (WAN) of the Web (i.e the Internet)

Requirements

* A Broadband Internet Connection (I recommend a High Speed Broadband connection. Otherwise, there is chance to face problems regarding file downloading).
*Wireless Network Card which should be installed on each computer that you wish to connect to the wirelesss network. Most devices are already equipped with an embedded wireless card.
* A Wireless Broadband Router

Advantages of a Home Network Router

* For Sharing your Internet connection between more than 2 computers.
* For sharing Printer and other Computer Peripherals.
* Sharing Game consoles and other Home Entertainment Systems.

A common problem for many people is a hacked google account even though it is not a frequent problem.

Every day many people are searching in Google about “how to hack Google accounts” , but searching this in Google is just like asking an owner to give his key of his company for free!

For this process ( I mean for “getting back your g-mail account”) , even though it is a bit “official” we can go asking Google for help (Well they can’t deny the complaint, of a user).

Some of the options suggested by Google Support when your forget the G mail password or if someone else takes ownership of your Google Account and changes the password are listed below:

Reset Your Google Account Password

Type the email address which is in connection with your Google Account or G mail user name at google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd – You will get an email at your secondary email address with a link , which when clicked will redirect to a page which will help you to reset your password for the g mail account.

For Google Accounts connected with G mail

If you have problems with getting into your G mail account, you can ask google to consider your problem by filling the form at http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/request.py. However this process can only be made possible only if you remember the exact date when you created your g-mail account.

For other hacked Google accounts which have no connection with your g-mail account:

If your Google Account is not attached with a G mail address, contact Google by filling the questions at http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/request.py. This process may help you get back your Google Account if you determinedly preserve all of your old emails. This process also requires the exact date of your Google Account creation attached with a copy of the original “Google Email Verification” message.

If any of the above methods fails try creating another Google account and tell your g-mail friends to re-sent you the lost e-mails.

Earlier this Month, Sony launched the world’s lightest laptop VAIO-X. It is being promoted as “Size Zero of Laptops” because of its very less weight of 655 grams. The VAIO- X uses Intel’s 2.0GHz Atom Z550 and 2 GB of RAM which makes it faster as compared to other notebooks. The Laptop is super-slim just 0.55 inches thick with 11.1-inch screen that is only 0.125 inch thick.

You can enjoy high Image Quality with the 1366-by-768-pixel Screen Resolution of this 11.1 inch screen. This ultrathin Portable laptop includes a 128 GB Solid State Hard Drive which if sufficient to store all your important data. According to Sony, The Laptop comes with two inter-changeable batteries a standard battery with 3.5 hour backup and a larger heavier battery which would be available in battery-stand combo having a 14 hour backup.

The keyboard of VAIO-X is similar to those of MacBook. The keyboard contains widely spaced and separated buttons but the space keys are small. If you have big fingers then you won’t feel comfortable typing on this Laptop. The Mousing Surface area is 2 by 1.5 inches which is really very small.

The VAIO-X contains 2 Usb2.0 ports, SD Card Reader and Memory Card Reader for data Transfer but don’t support optical drives. Shared headphone/mic jack is available for Audio. VAIO-X includes Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Mobile broadband antenna for networking.

The Cost of VAIO-X ranges from $1300-$1400 which is pretty expensive for this kind of System according to me. Overall this Laptop could be great Choice for you if you can spend that much and want to make it as part of your Fashion Statement or looking for a portable alternative which could be carried easily.

Gagandeep Singh is working as Internet Marketing Executive for Fortepromo, a Promotional Products Company which creates Geeky Promotional Products like Custom Flash Drives that help companies to promote their Brand in the market.

The Amazon Kindle changed my life! As an American who is avid reader, living in Mexico provides me with limited options for acquiring books in English. An international version just became available, but my Kindle 2 is a little older so I have to shop for books from my laptop. I simply connect my Kindle via USB to transfer my purchases. After being short on books, this hardly feels like a hardship.

When I travel to the US and use the “whispernet” free Internet service, it performs reasonably well, but is on the slow side. Kindle books are less costly than their paper versions, though you’re likely to buy in greater quantity. Saving trees is another worthy advantage to using a Kindle. Blogs, magazines, and newspapers are also available, and you can send documents to a special email address to have them converted to a format that can be read on your Kindle.

The built-in dictionary is a wonderful feature, and the interface is easy to use. I sorely miss it when I read the occasional book on paper. You can also highlight passages and make notes. The ability to easily change font sizes is useful. The no-glare screen is easy to read, but a built-in light of some sort would be a great addition.

You can use earphones to listen to MP3 music files that you load onto the Kindle from your computer. There’s a text-to-speech feature with a stilted computer voice. It isn’t much like listening to a book on tape but it still beats trying to read while driving. The Amazon Kindle has an impressive battery life for plenty of reading between recharges. Paper books simply don’t measure up after life with a Kindle.

This is a guest post by Chris Hatcher, who writes about life, technology, and humor for Geeky100.

Almost everyone at my workplace has sticky notes on their monitors. There is one lady whose screen is completely surrounded by a sea of stickies. They are ragged and scattered, and they make her whole desk seem cluttered. As a basis for comparison, my monitor is almost sticky note free, and my desk is clean and professional. I need almost as many daily reminders as the lady with the sticky notes, but I keep long-term notes on my desktop wallpaper.

Desktop Wallpaper Ideas

Desktop wallpaper is underutilized real estate. It’s aesthetic but useless for most users. What if there was useful information there? Here is some ideas:

Calendars (Check out Smashing Magazine.)

Cheat sheets

Often misspell words

Phone numbers

Procedures

Etc.

Tips, Tricks, and Tools

If you do not have an image editor, I would recommend Paint.NET. It is powerful, intuitive, and free.

To easily convert documents to an image, press “Alt” and “Print Screen” to copy a screen shot of the application. Then press “Ctrl” and “V” to paste it into your image editor.

If you are obsessive about quality, print your document to a PDF. If you use PDFCreator, you can save it straight to an image. Otherwise, use PDF-XCHANGE Viewer to export the PDF as an image.

Put the most important notes on the outside of the screen, so you can see them while working.

Feedback
Did you guys have any ideas or inspiration? Let me know with a comment.

Do you use Download Accelerator Plus? Even if you use it, you still can’t resume download from likes of Rapidshare or Megaupload unless you have premium accounts on those file hosting services. But do you know there is an add-on service in DAP called AlwaysResume that supports download resuming even if the server doesn’t support it?
And using a small trick, you can get the Platinum version of it for free. It is worth $20 per quarter. Just follow these steps:

Begin uninstalling DAP

On the opened window find “also get a token of our appreciation” just under “Disable DAP & Get Help”

Click on it & enter your email address & submit it

DAP will send your own unique code for AlwaysResume Platinum service valid for a quarter in your mailbox. And you don’t have to uninstall DAP for that
By the way, this service doesn’t require Premium version of DAP. You can easily use it with Download Accelerator Plus free edition.
And in the screenshot here you can compare the different editions of AlwaysResume service. As you can see, with Platinum AlwaysResume service you can resume download for files with maximum size of 90mb. It can be quite handy!
