HTC Aims to Level Up with New Smartphone

Amidst all of the new pieces of information regarding new products from Nokia, LG, Samsung, and Huawei, HTC’s announcement regarding their M9 phone stands out. Samsung, one of the big phone companies on the market today, will be unveiling their new Galaxy S smartphones at an event located in Spain. This event is a trade show called the Mobile World Congress, which happens annually and showcases the latest updates in mobile phone and smartphone technology.

The main reason why HTC’s announcement was worth looking forward to was because of their plans to re-invent themselves as a bigger personal technology company.

This can be a risky type of business change – It means that once HTC gains success with their new products, they can gain another source of revenue and a brand new direction.

And if they fail to do so, then it will remain stuck inside the increasingly competitive business of smartphones and mobile phones.

Big-time companies such as Samsung and Apple dominate this industry. But as of now, HTC still has no plans of leaving the smartphone industry. In fact, the company just introduced their latest gadget, the M9, last Sunday.

Last year, their One M8 had an abundant amount of metal that encased the whole phone. This time, with the M9, it is now quite the same – The phone only contains a few minor changes and adjustments.

The back of the phone is modified, providing you with a better grip. The polished edges have also been replaced. But if you look at it closely, the M9, which comes in a lovely gray color, might as well be a doppelganger of the One M8.

HTC intends to keep their original products, and provide a few tweaks and changes to the M9’s appearance and functionalities.

But despite all of this, the M9 still boasts a 20-megapixel camera, with a sapphire camera cover lens that brings you crisp and clear photos. A built-in amp accompanies front-facing stereo speakers, as well as high-quality Dolby Audio surround.

The M9’s all-metal body contains mirrored edges that are designed to give you a sturdy grip on your phone. Its back is curved to create the feel of the signature HTC One series smartphone.

Aside from its classy look, the HTC One M9 contains tons of customizable options. It contains the brand new HTC Themes app, which allows you to change your M9’s look and feel by just using your favorite photos.
