Sony is fully aware of the fact that you love to post screenshots of your favorite video games on Facebook or Twitter, so this is probably why the new PlayStation 4 controllers now come with a new ‘share’ button. But before you can share your beloved screenshots, you need to remember a few rules first:
If you’re connecting your Facebook or Twitter account to your PS4 for the very first time, you need to place in your password and username for services.
Even though these two social media sites will allow you to upload many pictures on other devices, you can only upload one picture at a time.
And in certain instances, you’re not even permitted to take a screenshot. This includes start screens, or deleted-scenes, since some of these may be considered as spoilers.
You will be able to share top or cruelest gaming experience with your buddies, by capturing a screenshot, or making a videoclip using the PlayStation 4.
First, open the menu, then click on the Share button. The Share menu will appear in front of the screen, as you are simultaneously taking a screenshot or sharing a video of whatever is going on in your game.
You can only use the short-tap function when you don’t mind stopping in the middle of your gameplay to upload or edit your pictures.
Take a screenshot by holding down the Share button for just one second. This will save a screenshot without any game interruption, which will bring up a menu or record video clips. Go find the little camera icon found on the top right of your screen, to check if the picture was indeed taken.
Create a videoclip by double-tapping the Share button, to start recording your video. This will allow you to start recording a video at the same time you are playing. Click on Share when you’re done with recording your video.
To share the screenshot that you took, click on the Share button again, and click on ‘Upload Screenshot’. Select which screenshot you want to share, by going through the images that you want to upload.
Afterwards, the menu will ask you which online website you want to share your picture with.
Choose your service (Facebook or Twitter), enter a comment (if you want to), then click on ‘Upload’. To share videos, click on ‘Upload video’ from the Share menu and select your favorite clip from the list.
